Planning, design, budgeting & construction — under one roof, in your town.

Building in Nevada City
Victorian streets. Modern craftsmanship.
Nevada City is the northern edge of our service area and one of California's most beautiful towns — a Gold Rush downtown that kept its character, Deer Creek running through it, and forested parcels at 2,500 feet. Our recent Lakeside Luxury home at nearby Lake of the Pines shows our familiarity with Nevada County's elevation standards and building requirements.
Building in Nevada County means county plan check, snow and freeze engineering, and strict fire-hardening expectations. We price all of it before design, so a mountain surprise never becomes a mountain problem.

LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
What building in Nevada City takes
Historic-district sensitivity
Design review near the historic core protects the town's character. We design to respect proportion, materials, and rooflines, and we manage the review process for you.
Steep in-town lots
Hillside streets and Banner Mountain parcels call for stepped foundations, retaining walls, and driveways engineered for winter storms — priced before the floor plan is final.
NID water & Deer Creek
Many parcels run on Nevada Irrigation District canals or wells; creek-side lots carry setback rules. We resolve water, septic, and setback questions in pre-construction.

The Sherman Way in Nevada City
Our Nevada City clients value the trees, the town, and the quiet. We start with a site analysis — light, snow patterns, where the pines stand — then build a whole-project budget with transparent pricing for every decision that follows.

What surprised me most about our home was that the whole project was so much faster than I expected it to be.

Nevada City FAQ
Building in Nevada City, answered
Do you build in Nevada City?
Yes — Nevada City is the northern edge of our service area. Our Lakeside Luxury home at Lake of the Pines, about 30 minutes south on Highway 49, is in our gallery with a full drone tour.
Can you build near the historic district?
Yes. Design review near the historic core is required, and we design to respect the town's proportions and materials while managing the approval from start to finish.
Do I need a well in Nevada City, or is there district water?
It varies by parcel — much of the area gets NID treated water or irrigation canals, while outlying lots run on wells. We confirm the water source, test flow, and budget for it before design begins.
